WestGrid and Coast to Coast Wrap Up Another Successful Seminar Season

HPC Training

Thank you to all the organizers, speakers, and attendees of this season's WestGrid / Compute Canada and Coast to Coast Seminar Series programs.

Talks presented through these two seminar streams reached more than 600 researchers through WestGrid's partner institution videoconferencing facilities.

A full archive of each of the series' programs can be found here:

Planning has already begun for both series' Fall 2013 sessions.

WestGrid is accepting suggestions for topics and speakers for tutorials, application demonstrations, and discipline-specific talks by researchers using WestGrid / Compute Canada resources. Send your ideas and suggestions to info@westgrid.ca. Also, if you missed contributing your feedback on the Spring 2013 WestGrid Seminar Series sessions, please complete our short online survey and you will be entered into a draw for priority access to computing cycles on WestGrid systems for one month.

Coast to Coast is planning its Fall 2013 series around the theme "The Science and Technology of Interdisciplinary Collaboration", which coincides with the IRMACS Thematic Year. The goal is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration as a way to integrate theories, techniques, and tools from multiple scientific disciplines to solve problems whose solutions are out of reach of a single discipline. If you have suggestions of widely recognized international speakers related to this theme, contact the Coast to Coast organizers.
